It's been a week now...

We left the ER last week not feeling the happiest... the doctor gave the pup an X-Ray and some painkillers... and that was it.

The pup is still in pain. He can barely get up by himself, let alone walk around or do anything, so we decided to go to a spine specialist - TAGS.

We showed the doc the x-ray films from the GH and he recommended that we go for a MRI to see how severe is it before proceeding as x-rays cannot show you if discs are herniated or not.

Which made us wonder why on earth did the doc at the GH send him in for ONLY and x-ray. Meh.

After an hour or so we saw why the pup's been in agony.....

The white stuff you see are liquid in the spine and the last disc is... out of liquid... and poking out >.<

Here's a top view of it. You can see that instead of a nice oval shape, you can see a bulge poking out into the back of the spine.

Anyhoo, the pup is off to recovery with lots of therapy.

Wish us luck!!!

Standing eggs

The pup kept telling me something about the turn of the new year which will happen on Feb 4 (which is why we have something planned) but I never realized what he was talking about until yesterday evening.

Li chun or lap chun (in Cantonese) is a solar term which signifies the beginning of Spring. If you're familiar with Chinese culture, then you'd recognize Qing Ming and Dong Zhi as some of these turn of seasons.

For me, it's not so much of the turning or beginning of any season, but more of an egg day :)

Li Chun is the one day of the year where it's supposedly easier to balance an egg on one end and it's said to only happen for 45 mins.

So yeah, watch out for our egg standing post soon!!!

Counting...

Just came across a quote today and thought I'd like to add it here

"Don't count the days, but make the days count."

While it's a great idea to count the days to know how long we've been in each other's lives, but I think it's a much greater idea to make the best out of them instead :)

After all, as the puppy says - a great relationship has more misses than hits!

Much love,
